I love this dowel jig. It's durable and accurate. This dowel clip really centers your dowels for strong, clean connections. This is the first time I've made dowel joints easily and accurately with this dowel tool. I made this mini table/stool and wall mounted spice rack over New Year's Eve using this dowel clamp and Okada handsaw guide that I also bought from Revain. I will check the handsaw manual separately. Before using this dowel jig, watch a video on You Tube that explains how to use this dowel jig. This is very similar to the Woodpeckers and China Tools brand. Also practice this until you are confident enough to use it in real projects. Also, it is very important that you mark your working parts to match the correct neighboring parts. The dowel gauge is a bit more difficult to use than the pocket hole gauge, but once you get the hang of it, it's a joy to use. I highly recommend purchasing this dowel tool.
