After a snap on Verus I decided to look for a new diagnostic tool that wouldn't break the bank and decided to give it a try. I could do everything Verus can do and more since it comes with pass-through, does bi-directional testing and even turns on the wipers or beeps. Any test imaginable can be done with the maxisys Pro or Elite for 1/3 the price of a new Verus. The only real downside is that in Verus scanner you have troubleshooter and in autel you have forum where you post any problem or doubt and other members of autel community will help you and give you solutions to your problems. Not a big problem but easy to solve with Mitchell or all the data. I had the Maxisys Pro as it works perfectly, perfect. I have a small workshop, from American to imported cars, from petrol to diesel (Ford Powerstroke and Dodge Cummins) and never had a problem. Registering the scanner on the Autel Pro site. After that year you go to the Pro Autel page and just pay for another year. For professionals, this is 1299 per year, but it's up to you. You don't have to pay to keep the scanner running. I haven't updated mine in almost 2 years and it works every day. Now I've bought a new Elite version of the Pro with a new Android, better camera and faster processor. It just works. In my 12 years as a technician I have used a variety of scanning tools and have never seen anything better than the Maxisys Pro and Elite. Now that I have both, I give my co-worker the pros and myself the elite. Thank you Autel for these great products. hp Customer service is a bit difficult to reach but very helpful. Once you get in touch, they do it all over the phone or remotely. Feel free to ask questions anytime. Customer service contacted me via email to see if the product met my expectations. I love the fact that they contacted me and I hadn't seen it before. Now as I continue to work with the scanner I will be posting photos of the differences between the new Elite and the Pro (which I use every day in my shop). The screen is brighter (like the iPad) due to the retina display. The download process is very, very faster than the pros. The Pro takes about 30 seconds to load and 5-8 seconds on the Elite. It has another USB port, very useful to connect a mouse or keyboard. From the outside you'll see that it's much thinner and lighter, and has rubber protectors (feels more like hard plastic, but it's rubber) on the sides rather than the corners like the Pros (which are real rubber). There is an LED indicator in the top right corner that shows battery life, which is great if you have your screen off. On the Pro, you have to turn on the screen to see the battery life. The higher-end models have a docking station where you can charge it or store it in a safe place. I am very impressed with my purchase. I hope this helps because when I bought my Pro the lack of information made me a little reluctant but took a leap of faith
