May 25, 2020: I recently upgraded my internet speed to 500Mbps and I really wanted to use that speed, so I have a Gigabit TP-Link Safestream Multi WAN VPN router Bought. Unfortunately only 78 Mbit/s are transmitted. I chatted with support, we tried all their ideas to no avail. Of course they blame my cables or switches or computers or whatever. They wanted me to run a complex test where I install special software on two computers and connect them exclusively to the router. Too much work. I returned it and bought a MikroTik RB4011 10-Port Gigabit Ethernet Router (RB4011iGS + RM) and it worked right out of the box (proving my stuff was fine, just as I expected). The MikroTik hardware screams quality, with a gadget that keeps it from coming loose and a powerful heatsink I've never seen on routers before. It's endlessly customizable with the most complex GUI I've ever seen, but as I said, it works perfectly without changing anything! I highly recommend it.
