New is not always better

I decided to buy this model of wireless modem because it has the same performance and apparent durability. plastic vs. the elements) that has been exposed to both heat and cold (northern extremes of Michigan) and has never failed or lost connection (4 years in use). A user outlet is located in the house (60 feet away). Yes, this modem is an "old" model, but I would buy it again as long as it works the way it used to.
