The noise level is the same as the replacement fan, but after removing the old motor and installing the new one, I noticed that the box the fans were in made noise. didn't like it.. I used expandable foam to fill the gaps (not the cabinet vents) between the drywall and the cabinet and the annoying vibrations were gone. I'm keeping this fan anyway because it's a darn good workhorse at getting rid of moisture in my bathroom - the difference is getting rid of it day and night Good luck and if you don't want to spend money just squeeze the sides of the case like I did and see if you can change the vibration noise level Play with it and you'll see what I mean ine.
