Review on Acer Predator XB273 Pbmiprzx FHD 32" Gaming Monitor, 270Hz, Wide Screen, ‎XB323U Gxbmiiphzx, HDMI by Carlos Hegie

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great gaming monitor!

**EDIT** My first XB323U GX was a bad panel. It had poor backlighting, behind-the-bezel lighting was patchy, and contrast was just plain bad. After 2 weeks I sent it back to Revain and ordered another one. This time I got a good panel. So this is my edited review. I have a 170Hz version of this monitor, the XB323U GP, so my expectations for the 240Hz GX model were pretty high knowing how good my GP model is. The 240/270Hz boost was noticeable and really made a difference in FPS games. There's no ghosting and the monitor is as smooth as can be, assuming you're using a high-end graphics card. You need an RTX 3070 or higher to really take advantage of a monitor like this. The colors are fantastic. My GP monitor was calibrated with warm color settings. For this GX model, I found the normal color settings to work right out of the box, but after switching to the warm color mode and making some additional adjustments, this is the setting I personally use. This is an 8-bit panel, but it can support 8+FRC to simulate 10-bit in all Hz ranges. DP 1.4 allows this. The build quality feels premium and the monitor stand is made from solid metal that provides a solid base. I would say that for the money this monitor can compete with the 32 inch Samsung G7 monitor. I think a lot of people would rather have it flat than curved. This is a really great gaming monitor that will make many gamers happy! Acer has done a fantastic job with its XB323U GP and GX models.
