These shoes are cute and well made, but they won't fit if you have a high instep child. My daughter wears a toddler size 6 and we got a size 7. We could barely fit her foot in the shoe as the shoe's upper is designed for either a child with a very flat foot or a very narrow foot. . My 3 year old shoe obsessed daughter insisted on wearing pretty pink sneakers. She has no room across the width of her toes/ball of foot and the upper of the shoe on the underside of her tongue is too tight around her foot. She can only put her feet in her shoes when she is not wearing socks. Although my daughter would love to wear these shoes, there is no way she can wear them one size larger than her current size without injuring her feet. I would avoid them if your child has a high instep or wide feet.
