I've used this flat iron a few times and love the curling effect, hair doesn't stick to the flat iron, sounds like a solid product overall, however, I was constantly annoyed with every use that it turned off randomly and after almost every curl. Today I finally understood why: This product has a flawed design. The handle sticks out right where the power button is. I've never been able to figure out why this iron randomly turns off and it was causing such a headache, now I know why: if you open the iron too far the handle just depresses the switch as it's almost right above it! Every time I wanted to braid a new section of hair I would open the iron, it would click, I thought it was on, so I wasted many minutes realizing it wasn't actually on, not curled. hair, then you have to turn it back on and wait for it to heat up again. Sometimes it happened several times in a row. Well I finally figured out why this is happening and it's all about bad design. For this reason I would not recommend this product to anyone. Yes, you can still use it, but if you open the iron further than is absolutely necessary to pin your hair, it will shut off. For that reason I would have sent it back but being a hair product it had no right of return so I couldn't. Heed my warning and look elsewhere so you don't waste many minutes on this matter.
