There were so many to buy online! My DVD drive on my laptop stopped working and I started looking for new laptops thinking I could buy new and cheap ones and lo and behold none of the new laptops have a drive! What on earth! I think it's supposed to weigh them less, but it's very annoying. DVD drives are cheap and they charge more for laptops and leave out some of what you need! So since I have yet to buy a drive, I decided to keep my current laptop and just buy a drive. For $20 it saved me from a lot more spending. And thanks to the computer companies I saved money and they lost a sale! I chose this one because of the case. I felt like an enclosure was needed for something this fragile, but they were at least $10 for the enclosure alone, making this drive a lot cheaper. It works great and the company shipped the card in a $10 gift card package. So now it's really cheap! I've been using it for a few weeks and it's still holding up!
