Review on Celestron StarSense Explorer LT 80AZ Telescope with Smartphone App Integration – Locate Stars, Planets & More with StarSense App – 80mm Refractor – iPhone/Android Compatible by Scott Chen

Pretty decent scope for beginners

The app is easy to calibrate and use. The scope's performance is a bit weak, but it's about as expected since it's a beginner's scope. Observing the moon with this telescope is fun and easy as you can see each individual crater relatively closely. I haven't done any planetary observations yet, but I expect it will be quite difficult and not very useful, in other words I don't expect to be able to see everything. I would recommend getting a new eyepiece for this scope as the ones you get with the scope are not very powerful or high quality. The telescope mount is a bit flimsy and causes the scope to wobble a lot, especially in light to moderate winds. Whenever I'm looking at an object at high magnification I can't touch any part of the telescope because when I do that the telescope wobbles so I literally can't see anything through the eyepiece because it just bounces so much. Overall I would still recommend this scope for beginners, it's a good start to this hobby as this scope is easy to use and a bit more forgiving in the sense that you don't need to know anything about astronomy before using it. .
