I was sold a defective item 🥺

The item arrived damaged and unusable. I am surprised and a little disappointed that a reputable company is selling a defective product claiming "used/like new" on this platform. I contacted Celestron directly and contacted the warranty and parts department. If I can get it to work, great, but overall a nightmare experience.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Sent after opening the package

I had to stop and send the package back when I saw it was already open. I haven't done it, so the time and effort to get it working is half mine. The "secret code" sent in the package to set up the phone has already been used and the battery activated for the red dot function. short story. I contacted Revain and sent the device back for a full refund. The manufacturer should never have shipped this device.CB

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Expensive

Came with a broken part despite being listed as new

The telescope itself is really good, you can see every detail. Some of the application isn't ideal for my type of phone, the camera doesn't turn on all the time and the position is a bit off. The ball works great. Purchase rating only 2 as the item was listed as new but was received used and the horizontal bar was broken when received. Very disappointing as I paid a higher price than other listings because it was a gift and I needed a new one.

Pros
  • Keeping my Fists
Cons
  • Some problems

Do not expect too much!

Maybe I naively thought I would buy the Hubble Space Telescope, but that's definitely not what I got. While you can see small details on the moon in bright light, I don't think it's much clearer otherwise. Stars and star clusters are so distant that a slight magnification of this telescope makes almost no difference. Maybe I expected too much but I think it was a waste of time. It's not very clear even when I try to observe objects on land or in the sea from my balcony.

Pros
  • Doping 🔥

Pretty decent scope for beginners

The app is easy to calibrate and use. The scope's performance is a bit weak, but it's about as expected since it's a beginner's scope. Observing the moon with this telescope is fun and easy as you can see each individual crater relatively closely. I haven't done any planetary observations yet, but I expect it will be quite difficult and not very useful, in other words I don't expect to be able to see everything. I would recommend getting a new eyepiece for this scope as the ones you get with…

An excellent launch telescope is a must!

I love this scope. We are new to using a telescope and are very glad we bought this to study with. We've spent hours outside just looking at the night sky! We bought an upgraded lens (Celestron X-cel) but the included lenses are pretty good too, especially if you're just starting out. We used the included downloadable iPhone app to locate the planets (Saturn, Jupiter) and other constellations. The pictures are clear and so wonderful. You can see the rings of Saturn and Titan when conditions are

Cons
  • Some difficulties

Not user friendly; Hardly anything to see

Very difficult to assemble. I even watched videos on YouTube. Also YouTube ratings/settings. If you need to sync with iPhone, which is best done in daylight, you can't remove your phone to sync. Or you may have to repeat the whole process all over again. That's ridiculous! So I can't use my phone late at night until late at night? After 5 months I still haven't even seen the moon. I'm happier just looking at the sky. I even tried using the telescope without a smartphone, but no - nada. I…
