You know how you can never get a vet to recommend a brand of food? ! My husky started on this as a puppy and we switched to another [wild animal flavor is the best and then asked a vet friend who is unofficially saying this is the only brand that feeds it to YOUR dog! The pack had a great sale by date [later than my local pet food store]. Not cheaper but very fresh and arrived quickly and was very convenient. The only mistake I made was going for a large size and weight Xtra. Mine only goes through 1/2 of it a month. After that I'll switch to a 30lb bag and will be nursing monthly as the freshness and lightness were just right. Don't forget to avoid grain-free from any manufacturer!
