I bought this replacement starter for my 2002 Lexus ES300 when the existing starter gave up the ghost (after replacing the battery without success). This starter was an exact OEM replacement in my car. Has worked perfectly from the first start. Not sure what the Camry setup is like (which other reviewers mention), but there are a lot of parts that need to be moved out of the way to get to the part (something like PITA). The battery, engine air filter housing (and connecting ducts) and brackets must be removed to gain access to this part. Take your time! Even after removing the two mounting bolts, my old starter was still pretty tight. It had to be torn apart. Be careful not to damage anything. I didn't bother with the non-genuine part, but I think the extra money for the OEM part was worth it and was definitely the right decision for me.
