Beware of stains that stain!

I didn't quite understand what I was buying when I bought them. I assumed it was ink, but I should have read more carefully that it's all my own. These are wax crayons. They worked well when my 5 year old was drawing, but once she started filling in the drawings with paint it quickly became a huge mess. She squeezed too hard and the flakes flew in all directions and fell onto the carpet. When I tried to gently peel them off the carpet they melted and now I have pink streaks!
