Review on ☕ AIDEA 2 Quart Dark Red Stainless Steel Tea Kettle with Whistling Feature for Stovetop by Michelle Lynn

I'm surprised this kettle is even being sold. I liked the color and was looking forward to the whistling kettle, unlike my old kettle which often dried up before I even thought to turn it off. The first problem was the filling. The handle is tight so I couldn't move it out of the way to fill from the water dispenser. Maybe it's normal but I got used to this feature on my previous 30 year old kettle. The second problem was the green trim. It got hot and stank if I didn't hold the flame lower than the bottom of the kettle. The instructions that came with it say it will ruin the finish but I wish I knew about the temperature issue before I bought it. The lid didn't close properly so the kettle didn't whine (the main reason I bought it) and the button to open the spout wouldn't disengage when I let go of it so I had to push out from under the handle to close it . But the biggest problem was having to drop the kettle while grabbing what I thought was a heat-resistant handle. Why does the kettle handle get hot? The only good thing was that this kettle is cute to look at, but that's not what the kettle is designed for.
