Not the friendliest do-it-yourselfer

So let's move on. Do not order this if you need it immediately. I can agree with other reviewers that if you order this, there is a good chance someone will forget to take both boxes. It's not that hard to get Revain to fix the problem, but it's still annoying and can cost you time. It seems like a big buzzing sticker that reads "1 of 2" and "2 of 2" would do, but whatever. Perhaps the way they are stored in the warehouse is not intuitive. In terms of installation, the front wheels are pretty straightforward. Spin the wheels to get to the calipers, rip them off with the punch gun, open the caliper forward and up. Once you've done the first, the second should be easy enough. The back is not so fun. I was ill-prepared for this task and decided to entrust it to a professional, but maybe you insist. Fine. First the caliper. You'll need an air wrench or something similar small enough to get behind the steering wheel. You will then need an extension to get to the caliper bolts. Next the router, these are the rear rotors. Unless your rotors have actually been serviced, countersunk screws hold them in place. Said screws are raw steel and will most likely be completely rusted by now, so don't even try to remove them. Just drill them out. I doubt they will fight back strongly. How do you like the end product? Well if you are purchasing this item you are probably riding with worn pads and/or worn rotors. It's very good in comparison. Maybe they're just not broken in yet, but I definitely don't think these pads are the best. Not that they were lethargic or bad. Just not in the way I imagined. Maybe the stock brakes are to blame. On the other hand, the rotors look fantastic, so it's hard to go wrong here.

Pros
  • Power Stop carbon fiber ceramic compound significantly improves braking performance over traditional ceramic brake pads
Cons
  • So-so
