Instantly flat as a pancake.

I bought this chair to protect my son's desk chair from cat claws. This will work for this purpose. If I were to buy this to add ANY padding to a chair I would be disappointed. Even on an already soft chair, it's useless. Instantly flat as a pancake. It's non-slip - but that's the only good thing I can say. Edited to add that I'm posting this back. I broke the ruler tonight (got the chair pad yesterday) and it's almost 1/2 inch thick, not the advertised 1 inch.
