Quickly sharpens several of my knives. Very intuitive and portable. I will be ordering more of these for gifts and for tool bags, tackle boxes, camping and bug repellent kits. Updated August 20th 2019 If you are looking for a great sharpener for outdoor/work knives and general purpose tools this is excellent value for money. If you want something that gives your benchmade knife an excellent sharpness, you can use something else (although this would be a good starting sharpener to correct the angle). RE commented that the diamond side is too rough, it will get better after a few uses. Roughness helps to quickly shape the blade (this is what you need at work or when hiking). I also don't understand what the problem is with not being able to rotate the ceramic side and I wonder what the heck people do with this thing when they get flat spots on the ceramic rod. I've used a bunch of mine and haven't had any issues with either the ceramic rod or the diamond finish. Both sides are easy to clean by rubbing in a little Dawn dish soap, then rinsing with hot water and wiping with a towel. For the money this is a great sharpener.
