Perfect sharpener to take with me, I'll take another one.

Perfect sharpener for my backpack. Diamond is a quick way to restore a really dull edge, but I mainly use a ceramic stick to touch up the edge. Sharpening guides make finding the right angle very easy. Great product for the price and it keeps my knives much sharper than what I previously had in my backpack which is now trash and has been thrown in the trash. I've found that a light touch works much better for me to get the desired benefit. Will buy another one for my tackle box.

Great product in the hand tools category

I didn't think it would work well but I was wrong. I sharpened two of my EDC knives and they were both razor sharp, for example the hair on my arm was sharp and it was only a few strokes. I keep my knives in good condition anyway, but I've used other sharpeners that have actually dulled my knives than they were, but that's not the case. This sharpener has given them a great job back and if you want to make it even better, make sure you have a leather belt, even a small one, and you can get your

This garbage. Best in Hand Tools

I own many Work Sharp products, including the Controlled Field Sharpener, which is probably its closest relative. I bought this thinking that something more compact might be an improvement. nope The diamond sharpener is too coarse. If you try to sharpen your knife on diamond steel and then use it on ceramic, you'll just gnaw through the ceramic shank. Admittedly, you should very rarely sharpen your knife and instead simply sharpen it on a ceramic rod. Which brings me to my next complaint. The…

Quickly sharpens several of my knives. Very intuitive and portable. I will be ordering more of these for gifts and for tool bags, tackle boxes, camping and bug repellent kits. Good Little Sharpener

I chose this for hiking. I also planned to use it to teach boy scouts how to sharpen knives. I think this will suffice on both counts. The small size and ease of use will appeal to scouts. Also, the angle markings help explain the importance of maintaining the angle when using the stone.
