Natural henna gave my hair a rusty color at the roots. My whole head, about 1-2 centimeters from the roots, was covered with rust. It turned my hair's soft texture into a light, dry straw. My hair fell out in clumps and formed a terrible hairline. I was so afraid to fix it that I let my hair recover from the shock for 3 weeks. Used coconut oil, Carol's daughter's natural hair conditioner, to soothe my damaged hair. I have a hairy head and I always get compliments. Age thins a woman's hair, but at 49 my hair was whole, thick, natural and shoulder length. I wanted to use this as a treatment and as a natural hair dye. It's horrible and eats your hair.
