Review on 🍚 Premium White Zojirushi Neuro Fuzzy Rice Cooker 5.5-Cup: High-Performance Cooking at Its Finest by Patrick Gibb

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I have a lemon - nope.

Update September 2020: My baaad Until now it hasn't struck me - even the packaging says "brown rice" - that I actually cooked *half* brown rice. And guess what, the machine has a setting for that. So, in this choice, the rice came out as it should be. And the cooking time has been reduced from 90 minutes to just over 50 minutes. Lesson learned and the car gets the correct score (from 1* to 5). I've finally replaced my old National rice cooker that had served me well for about 15 years. Since I love rice I thought let's get some really decent rice. Zojirushi I decided it would be. When it arrived I was very excited, it seemed well put together and had good features. The first surprise was the cooking time of about 100 minutes, 1:40, for brown rice. Wow, that was more than twice as long as my national. That would be ok BUT. The rice was bland and seemed quite overcooked. We read the instructions again, make sure the settings are right and again, no fluffy, just soft, no, sticky pieces of rice. I measured rice and water with absolute accuracy, but then I experimented with adding a little more water, a little less water, etc. The result is about the same. I use high quality wholegrain Japanese rice. The result with pink rice from Madagascar was not much different. I regret not returning this rice cooker immediately as I am now stuck with it. Every time I eat rice, I also eat disappointment with it. With all the 5 star reviews, I can only assume I somehow managed to get the lemon. I've tried everything but never got the rice the way it should be.
