The square seal is leaking.
Leaks. I received a square gasket filter and it is leaking. The filter media and top appear to be of good quality. If you get a wedge, it might be a different story. Need to switch to another brand with wedge seal. I use Ecoguard filters elsewhere and they have been great. This one isn't very good.
