There is nothing marine in it.

Bad design. The threaded mounting hole actually fell into the inner box of the speaker during installation. In order to fix the speaker I had to disassemble the speaker and I found that the speaker is not waterproof, water resistant and not even adequately sealed for outdoor use. You get what you pay for. The sound quality is just ok. Invest and upgrade to "real” marine quality speakers.
