These are my second set of remote control housings and they are identical to the first set from the other manufacturer - more on that in a moment. The Google Chromecast 2020 remote control is very slippery and great for tactile grip. They also look a bit slick, but they're no worse than the plastic remote control case. After a few days of use they seem to get a little rough, possibly due to oil on your fingers, and are easier to grip. The patterned back also contributes to this. These cases also provide some protection for the remote, but the best part is the contrast they add to the remote. The buttons really stand out and are easier to see in the dark. The raised lip around the 5-way button at the top takes a bit of getting used to as it no longer sits flush with the body of the remote but becomes second nature very quickly. They are very easy to put on; You simply insert the remote control through the large top hole. Removing them is a bit more difficult, and the battery cover tends to come loose with them. This is a feature and not a bug as you are probably removing the cover because you need to replace the battery. Two small features: First, there is what appears to be an extra hole in the bottom center. This is not a bug (I thought so) - there is an LED that lights up when you use voice search. Second, if you want keys to "shoot" (high contrast), the colors I got (black and red) are great. I have another set with a very light green cover and while easier to find in the dark there is very little contrast around the keys. Keep that in mind when choosing colors, but it's no big deal; A simple remote control like this basically makes you feel at home. These cases offer both functionality (contrast and grip) and protection from falls, and we highly recommend them.
