So I saw a few years ago that CBC did a research report on the high use of cadmium in most of their metal products. and this leaching in your food is very toxic, worse than lead poisons. It says stainless steel, but China's ethical standards are undesirable, which is why I didn't see the Made in China sticker until delivery. I did a drop test and it appears to be heavier than my other cutlery, the color is different so the density of the metal is odd as that amount of metal should be a lighter item based on size. Update: Cadmium's melting point is the same as lead, the color is light bluish, and the density is 2.5 times that of steel per ounce. Be careful with this product, all metals emit particles and cadmium is dangerous when consumed in parts per million, which means if you lick the spoon, ie eat, you will develop long-term nervous side effects.
