I've been using one of these sponges for a few weeks to see how well it holds up. It's okay, it wears out just as quickly as the synthetic sponges I'm used to. The sponge part is very absorbent and the cleaning side is just as hard and "scratchy" as the ScotchBrite side of regular sponges. This scrubbing side sometimes sheds coco coir, but that's no big deal. My complaint about this product is the post washer. It's small, and if you have a cast iron skillet, you probably already have a larger one. And one of them lasts a lifetime, so you don't need a new one every time you need new sponges. So with this package you're paying for something you almost certainly don't need.
