4G not available on Red Pocket or AT&T prepaid plans

At&t SIM card inserted and everything was fine, then I started hearing about missed messages. I did some research and found that I need to update my IEMI number. After I did that, the next day I only had 3G coverage, no VoWIFI and no data from 3G. Contact AT&T now. I was also looking for a Red Pocket phone but as it turns out Blackviews only supports 2G and 3G on their website. ** UPDATE, just got off the phone with AT&T for an hour. 4G does not work if you enter a black IMEI number! I'll try to fool him tonight by entering my old IMEI number as soon as I'm near this phone again. AT&T says the BV5500Plus is set up as the primary 3G phone and data is back. Same issue with Red Pocket which I can only suspect. I downgraded my rating and feel that Blackview is falsely promoting a 4G phone and I still have no explanation as to why VoWIFI isn't working. I would recommend spending twice the money on an unlocked Motorola before dealing with these issues. The touchscreen lags, sometimes not responding. I think people think that since the screen is covered with a thin film, it scratches easily. There is a spare in the box. The film is scratched but protects the glass. The battery life is not as great as they say. Two days of use, give it a year and it needs to be charged daily. Seems to be better than most in 5 to -5 degrees Fahrenheit.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Some flaws
