Review on πŸ”† Leyal 50pcs/lot Smart Electronics Lilypad LED Light Modules (Red/White/Orange/Emerald Green/Blue/Yellow/Yellow Green) for Arduino & IDS Lilypad LED Module by Jerry Frey

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Almost perfect for any project that requires a small, bright LED and a resistor

These SMD LEDs come with the appropriate resistor and are mounted on a nice PCB with a solder hole about 1/8" in diameter. This packaged LED saves resistor sizing and soldering time otherwise required with individual LEDs. Expected to get an even number, 10 of each color as advertised but instead double the white and half the red. Otherwise it would have been a 5 star product. Great LEDs! I use them for small RC models but I need them to trim to reduce bulk and weight and make your own wiring and additional circuitry for strobe lights and turn signals so they can function as realistic navigation lights. But I would like, that these Lylipad LEDs are designed with additional circuitry to allow them 3 modes of blinking/flashing operation. Manufacturer Suggest: Make them with built-in flasher IC to make sure 3 modes work: The switch can be something user can set, just turn on the strobe chip 3 modes. I'm sure you will win the RC models market if you make them like I just explained as it gives flexibility to the user. Keep them low. A) Turn on fully (green and red wing tip LEDs) B) Switch back to slow blink, pause (can be white or red signal LED) 1 Hz (blink 1 sec, pause 1 sec) C) Switch back to fast blink, flashes, pauses, pauses, pauses, pauses (can be white or red strobe LED) 2Hz (1/2 second flash x 2.4 seconds pause) An SMD trimmer potentiometer to adjust the blinking rate of circuits B and C would be a plus ! Individual SMD trimmer potentiometers for independent adjustment of flash frequency B and C, an even bigger plus! At least 3 flashing or strobe modes, similar to some kid's finger toys. LED rings used complete with the circuit. Check out my video with the same suggested 3 modes of operation where I explain a little more. I couldn't find these toys and looked everywhere so I came across these Lylipad LEDs to see if I could make my own blinkers and strobe lights with them, but I preferred to buy them already with a blinker chip on a small circuit board. . There are other options like portable warning LEDs that I could hack but are too big for my projects. If anyone has a link to these LED finger rings for kids toys using original 3Mode ICs please let me know. Many Thanks
