Not bad treatment!

In the foreword to all this. I have about 100 working hours. maybe a little more. I used this bandage for about a day and a half and had to take it off because it was starting to come off (probably shouldn't have been). This way of healing a tattoo is a double edged sword in my opinion. There are pros and cons. Let's start with what I really liked. First, it provides the best protective barrier. This will help you avoid chafing and infection. I'm sure anyone with a tattoo knows it's like Murphy's Law. Someone always has to touch her. This association will particularly appeal to people who live with dogs (high risk of infection) or work in a potentially dirty environment. Also, it allows you to put something cold on your hand without direct contact on the night of my tattoo (after) (more on that later). Finally, I didn't have any of the problems people have described with glue. The bandage does not adhere to the tattoo due to plasma formation. I was able to peel it off with no problems and I didn't get any redness from the adhesive. Now for the "bad". After a tattoo, your artist will usually slather you in petroleum jelly and then wrap you in plastic. This will ease the constant sting of a fresh tattoo. Immediately upon application you will feel the warmth, like indirect sunlight on a fresh tattoo. The air bubbles actually "fogged" because my skin felt hot. This is normal because your skin has just been traumatized. That first night it was difficult to sleep compared to normal because the tattoo was still burning. Another problem I had was that it didn't stick as well as I had hoped. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the day was hot and I was a sweaty hobbit. But the plasma began to flow from the side. As soon as this happened, I took off the bandage because I didn't want a break. After all, these things are damn near impossible to wear. So don't be afraid to ask your artist to layer it. Personally, I don't see much of a difference between the traditional method and the patch in terms of color retention. So I wouldn't expect a huge difference in quality after a tattoo. I am sure I will use them in the future though as they are easier to use and safer than wrapping for the first few days. Not having to worry about wearing a long sleeve shirt was a pretty cool feeling.
