A good idea with a downside.

A good idea but due to the manufacturing process it's almost impossible to cut a loaf completely. Once you get to the bottom of the grate you can't cut anymore so your slices will only be cut 3/4 through the loaf. I've tried both a power knife and a hand knife with the same results. I was able to slice bread separately (without using this item) and get pretty good slices. This item will be returned.
