That's enough, Piggy. on Bike Tools & Maintenance

Used this kit to successfully bleed the brakes on my 2019 Trek Marlin 5 with Tektro HD M275 brakes. This was the first time I have serviced hydraulic brakes but apart from a little mess I would say everything went smoothly. Not that I'm an expert, but I would offer some advice to beginners: don't wait until you sit down with instructions in your hands to try to learn how to do venting work. There are tons of videos on YouTube on this subject and chances are some of them are specific to your particular brake model. If you try to learn the procedure using the instructions that come with it, you're going to have a bad time. So watch some videos and familiarize yourself with the process. Then, once you have the kit, check which fittings work with your brakes. Lots of attachments. Find the ones that work and put the rest aside. The pictures in the instructions help with assembly, but I wouldn't get bogged down reading it. Before you open the oil, make sure you prepare everything you need and formulate your plan of attack. As for the kit itself, I have a "metal hinge" kit that's a little more expensive than the plastic hinge kit, but still good value. The kit offers a few options in terms of fittings and bleeding methods. I wouldn't say this kit is durable enough to be used in a bike shop, but it's ok for those who are DIY. Of course, the hardware doesn't strike me as particularly strong, so use caution when figuring out which ones will properly match the caliper body and levers. I would say that overall this is a good set for the money.
