🔧 Efficient Brake Bleed Kit for Shimano, MAGURA, TEKTRO, SRAM Series: Hydraulic Disc Brake Repair Tools for Bicycle Brake Maintenance Review

I took this because the seals on my Shimano kit had been removed and I needed to bleed the brakes on a customer's bike. It served its purpose but is not suitable for store use. Don't knock, but it's not top notch.

Used to bleed Avid Stoker brake lines and was easy to use. I was just a bit confused with the fitment as there were a few different sizes and lengths but overall a pretty good product. Just remember to clean up afterwards so you can use different types of fluids (like DOT brake fluid, mineral oil, etc.).

I ordered a metal kit but received the wrong metal and plastic kit. The tube ends were plastic (should be brass) and won't work with half the adapters. I have to cut the tube off every time I need to switch to a different brass adapter. This only works when used on one type of braking system. Item not as described: Mismatched plastic parts in a metal kit. Not a good price as most of the kit is useless.

If I knew how to bleed the brakes I might do better. But for a beginner it was unclear. Lots of details not marked on the part or in the instructions. And instructions. I don't know much about these companies, but you would think they make enough money to do a decent English translation. Otherwise why bother? Nevertheless, the quality is right. Not great, but as long as you're careful and only bleed your brakes once or twice a year, it's good enough.

The kit is easy to use and works as it should. I've used it twice and now it's more than paid for itself compared to the cost of paying the bike shop to do it for me. The kit I bought is for mineral oil and DOT brake fluid. Little did I know until I bought it that you shouldn't use the same cup, tube or syringe for different types of liquids. After you bought this item, the first thing you need to do is go to the trash can and stick the stupid instructions on it in JAPANESE/CLEAR ENGLISH. They will only annoy you. You then look for videos with instructions on how to use it, but all you find are videos that suggest you've bled your brakes your entire life.
