Excellent investment! in kitchen & dining room

Got this slicer yesterday. Everything was assembled and ready to use. In the end we got him through his pace pretty well on the first night. We had on hand about 8 pounds of Black Forest ham, 7 pounds of roast turkey, about 2 1/2 pounds of bologna, and a block of Screamin Jack cheese. We liked the thickness of 1.5 except that the sausage and cheese were 2. The machine processed all without any problems and cut perfectly. We had a little problem slicing the cheese (laughs), but honestly it's not the machine's fault. My uncle was here and sliced the meat and told me that you just have to put cheese in the freezer for a few minutes before slicing and it's a lot easier to deal with. Do the math on how many pounds we've made and we're paying about half the price of butchering our own meat compared to buying it in the store, which is amazing. After we were done I sealed everything in 1lb bags and froze them. So now we have lunch meat for the foreseeable future. I read that cleaning is a nightmare but honestly it wasn't that bad. I removed the cutter arm, removed the blade cover, removed the blade (careful!) and then the SS plate on the left. After it was disassembled, I got to the hard-to-reach places, cleaned it, and reassembled it in about 10 minutes. The machine itself looks well built, runs quietly, and is large enough to hold large cuts of meat. I don't really see any flaws in this car, but then again. I've only used it once so we'll see how it holds up over time. It falls somewhere between cheaper home slicers and large, expensive commercial slicers, but definitely leans towards commercial quality. Hope this helps as you check out this slicer. I have no regrets and I'm glad I bought it.
