I've been using diamond tools to sharpen my own 37 knives for about 15 years (yes, I'm a knife freak!). I bought this Hone Sharpening 4 Sided Diamond Knife Sharpener for my oldest daughter. I gave her a diamond "steel" about 10 years ago, but upon visiting I noticed that it wasn't used as much as it should have been. When I decided to buy her a set of three flat "diamond" stones, I found this product. I wanted to visit her and sent the device to her address with my name on it. When I went to her house she gave me a package and I gave it back to her saying it was hers. After opening it, she explained that it looked like the diamonds I carry with my knives, but she's always been afraid to use the flat set I have. After sharpening three of her knives, I told her to sharpen five more from her set. She was amazed at how easy it was to sharpen her knives without hurting herself or her knives. Both she and her husband were very happy and a little amazed at how easy it was to sharpen their knives. I've been thinking about taking the diamond "steel" I gave them for our guest house years ago, but maybe I can do it on my next trip! This 4 sided diamond sharpener is an amazing product. I will get more for my other children and grandchildren for Christmas.
