Although I bought this item a while ago I knew it would be some time before I actually wrote a review. The purpose of my purchase was to protect my gaming rig which consists of a 39 inch flat screen, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Vizio sound stand and finally a DVD player. For some strange reason, there were occasional power outages, so I felt the need to protect my investment. So far I have no complaints at all. After about 10-15 power outages, all my devices are still working great and the surge protection is unaffected. I recommend registering your purchase with Tripp as Tripp offers some form of insurance/guarantee. Again, all my devices were protected and nothing worked anymore, but with all the money I've spent I think it's better to be safe than sorry. The surge protector isn't heavy, but it's a little clunky. So if you don't plan to screw it to the wall, make sure you place it in a safe place away from children's water.
