The self-priming FPower pump just works. I have previously pumped water out of a 50 gallon Bradford white water heater which was making a rattling noise due to contamination from the well water. Even though it says self-priming, I still had to add water to the intake valve. The suction power works great. Just follow the instructions. He emptied my tank in about half an hour. It would be quicker if I turned on the hot water tap. As with me, it was all over shortly afterwards. Well, the noise level is acceptable. I'm not sure why some say it's noisy.
