Telescopic ladder is expensive and absolutely worth the money. I had a head injury and shoulder surgery after my cheap regular extension ladder failed 5 years ago so I see the folly of saving money on a ladder. For the past few years I've used a different brand of telescopic ladder that has good reviews and is about half the price of a telescopic ladder. Everything worked fine, but then the plastic release buttons got harder and one day the locking mechanism failed and it partially retracted while I was at it. I didn't fall, I just broke my leg a bit, but I decided not to risk it and ordered this telescopic ladder to replace it, the difference with cheaper brands is striking. The TelestepsSteps ladder is significantly less flexible and safer. It takes a few seconds longer to extend but is much easier to retract and I certainly won't get as many pinched fingers as I did with my last telescopic ladder. Spend more money to get a ladder with telescopic steps. Your life is worth it.
