This is the third controller that I have installed in this car. There was a grounding problem and the cable broke on the first two about a year later. I fixed the grounding issue by replacing the shorted switch and running a new ground wire. This controller was easy to install as I had done it twice before, but from day one the motor ran very slowly after the window was halfway down. I figured it was only necessary to hack and save it. It never worked properly but after 4 months it shut down completely leaving me with the window down while I was 30 miles from home and it was cold outside. The journey home was not pleasant, to say the least. I will have to order another controller but it will NOT be this one.
