Review on Configear Aluminum Docking Ethernet Compatible by Michael Wilson

I needed a docking station for my new C740 so I could get an extended monitor display while still working on my laptop. Lenovo docking stations cost over $200 and I didn't intend to spend that much money. This compact USB-C hub/dongle works great. I've connected a monitor to it, as well as a mouse and an audio device, and everything works exactly as I hoped. The display looks great and I haven't had any issues with peripherals. The C740 only has two USB ports, so the ports available on the dongle are definitely a plus. The key is connected via USB C, of which the C740 has two. I can then plug my Lenovo AC adapter directly into the dongle and the laptop will still charge. The only downside I see with this product is the length of the USB-C cable that comes out of the dongle and goes into the laptop. It's only about four inches. That means all cables must go straight to the laptop; I didn't have to do a lot of rearranging and managing cables to keep my desk tidy. If the cable from the key to the laptop was longer, even a foot or two, it would do wonders for cable management. Overall, though, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has a C740 who needs to display on another device but doesn't want to pay the price of an OEM dock
