Review on YoLink Smart Motion Sensors, 1/4 Mile Range Wireless Indoor Motion Detector, Alexa IFTTT Compatible, App Alerts & Remote Monitoring, 2 Pack with YoLink Hub by Josh Maher

I have been installing home automation products for over 5 years. I just finished installing a YoLink smart light switch, two motion sensors, two garage door sensors and a garage door controller. Also set up direct automation. It's way FASTER and MORE RELIABLE than IFTTT! I've read many reviews about how easy YoLink products are to install, and it's true. But I wonder how many people really understand how much easier it is. The YoLink Hub acts like a router in many ways (quickly scans all YoLink devices). It dawned on me that setting up 6 Wi-Fi devices in my house (without YoLink) would require 6 manual IP assignments, setting up 12 Mac filters on my router, and two access points to force the devices to while maintaining the strongest signal, new router configurations and access points, and working with the router to bypass limitations on manually assigned IP addresses. It would take me almost all day to do that. I installed YoLink devices in 2 hours. without doing any of the above. Only one IP address is required (for a wired hub). I installed the hub in my garage and plugged it into the access point's LAN port. From there, it can easily reach mailbox sensors, motion detectors, door sensors, etc. (see image). You never have to worry about the hub dropping your WiFi connection because it's wired and fast. Long-range LoRa technology is much more reliable than Wi-Fi connections and can easily eliminate the need for hotspots. The phone app is user-friendly and intuitive. Automation and integration are easy. I am in the process of converting many of my Wi-Fi connected devices and replacing them with YoLink devices. You will not be disappointed.
