Definitely more decorative than functional
I'm in the process of converting a cabinet to use as a bar cabinet, in a modern steampunk style. When I saw it I thought it would be perfect - and it will be, but unfortunately only as a decoration. Although this corkscrew looks really cool, it is very difficult to use. It's not possible to get enough leverage to pull the cork out, so it ends up taking a lot more effort than necessary. While this is a cool decoration, I don't recommend it for opening wine bottles.
