Bought a pair of these to replace a solution I put together a few years ago that eventually died. So I bought them to send a signal to my mom's guest house which is about 1200 feet from my house and this is where the signal is coming from. But it's too far to run an Ethernet cable far. It also needs to send a signal through the trees. I was skeptical at first, but it worked! This easily quadrupled the throughput! From there I added another hotspot (Apple Airport Extreme) to cover the whole house and then a few others. It wasn't too difficult to set up either. One thing I want to warn you is that the receiving nanostation won't be a great AP because it's transmitter aligned, but if you add another AP to the secondary port it works great!
