These are good looking shoes! I really wish I could have kept them but my heels were loose so they would lift up on every step. I doubt they are very waterproof, probably more splash resistant. The lug soles grip well and are wide enough to prevent rolling ankles. Al my shoes are size 11, but these were just too loose in the heels to keep. The tongue could be better padded. If you really tighten your laces, it will probably pinch. For $55 they would make good casual walking / light work shoes. I don't think they would be comfy enough for really long hikes or "trekking."
