This filter is nothing like the original. As soon as I received the product I noticed that it is not as good as the Dyson filters because it is much lighter. If you hold it up to the light you can clearly see from the amount of light coming out of the filter that the filter contains much less carbon and other materials than Dyson original filters. There is almost no carbon or other materials in this filter. Also, the height of the filter is not at all the same as the original Dyson filters, resulting in no vacuum seal preventing the machine from filtering everything properly. It's a lot cheaper but not worth it. I sent it back and bought an original Dyson filter. If you want this filter as a cheap replacement, I would look for an original Dyson filter. Yes, it costs more, but it's 10 times better and works exactly as it should. I have used 5 Dyson filters since I got the air purifier and the filter always works as advertised. In the picture, the Dyson filter is on the right and the non-genuine brand is on the left. You can see the original Dyson filter is bigger and thicker than the non-original filter.
