Review on Standard Motor Products APS261 Accelerator by Will Anderson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Same as OEM best in accelerator pedal

To replace the sensor on the underside of the accelerator pedal you will need to replace the entire assembly including the pedal. This is because on a 2007 Jeep JK the sensor is built into the pedal much like the TPS sensor is built into the throttle body. Why, oh why Chrysler did that, I'll never know. I went through the same thing and replaced this TPS. The entire throttle body has been replaced. This accelerator pedal sensor is an OEM clone. I mean, it's EXACTLY the same down to the last detail. I'd rather buy a $30 TPS than a whole pedal set for almost a hundred, but what are you going to do? Removing the old assembly and installing this was a bitch even though there are only two nuts. c, and disconnecting the wiring harness from the sensor. Pulling the strap off was easy. The bottom left nut was a snap. Accessing the top right nut requires a two-jointed circus performer. But it is available. If I can do it, anyone can. At 60 I'm not as flexible as I used to be and I can't see as well as I used to. It took a little time and a moderate amount of swearing, but I managed. This device worked great. There are several options available, but if this is the device you need, then this is for you. It worked great.
