UPDATED 10/22/20: I've read some negative reviews and wanted to address a few issues: 1) Yes, it's mostly plastic and probably not good for business. But then you're going to use $200 locks that are hardwired to the building's electricity, motion sensors, and other more expensive things. 2) While I think my lock looks great on my tailgate, I know other reviewers find it an "ugly" and "cheap" lock. BUT: for <$50 it's GREAT! 3) Last note: it turns out that the combination doesn't LOCK the door, only OPENS it (you still need a key to lock it from the outside). I assume to save power for unlocking. But even with this limitation, it has become a lot easier for me, especially when wearing products. This lock DEFINITELY gets 5* from me, although I had a few minor issues which I will detail. But the biggest advantage of this lock over traditional deadbolts is that it can be programmed WITHOUT EXPENSIVE HOME WIRING! Powered by 4 AA alkaline batteries that are easy to replace. Took about half an hour to install BUT I had already cut holes out of the current lock which was falling apart after too many years. The first small issue is that while the instructions are well written, sometimes the print is so small that I had to use a backlit magnifying glass to read them! Second, the battery plate is so tight that I was afraid I would use too much force to loosen it and break it. Although I've followed the instructions in order and haven't had any problems, be sure to do this as several steps will warn you that the lock won't work if you don't follow them. Finally, I really like both the spare key (which I already put on my fob) and the ability to open the door with both hands (as long as I have 1 finger free)! That wasn't possible with my old screw. Again 2 small problems, but still gets 5 stars. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for a cost effective programmable latch solution!
