My daughter's dog is 10 months old and is a super chewer. Squeaker and fuzz out of regular toys within a few minutes. Absolutely demolished her super chewer Bark Box toys within a few minutes. We wanted to get her some more durable toys. This ring is heavy and she has not destroyed it yet - and we've had it for about 3 weeks. From the very first day, she was able to break off a few small tiny nubs of the rubber in places - but in general, it still has almost all of its texturized parts. It's heavy enough that we can tug with her and it's not going to break. It's durable enough that she chose to take it outside in the yard and we're not worried that it will break down. It's a good, solid chew toy. Despite her being able to chew off a few tiny pieces here and there, I gave this 5 stars because it's still capturing her interest and is not destroyed 3 weeks later. Contrast that to the expensive Bark Box toys that are all thrown away within a day of getting them because she chews huge pieces off them. If we wanted her to consume large pieces of toys, we'd stick to the $1 tennis balls that she destroys on the regular.
