I think this is a good buy. I have an aggressive chewer, female puppy who’s a Hungarian Hound, and she is why I bought this. So far she isn’t in love with it compared to two of her other toys but at least she hasn’t destroyed it in the first hour of having it like she has with others ; ) She likes tug of war and this toy Facilitates that game and she loves chewing on anything plastic so I think this helps fulfill this as well.

I ordered this toy for my golden retriever puppy who was 8 months old at the time of purchase. He comes to work with me every day & had a bad habbit of chewing at the wheels & other hard plastic parts of our office chairs. This toy is made of similar material & seems to help curb the inappropriate chewing. Gucho toys are one of my favorite toys for our doggie kids. Especially since they replace for life. I’ve been buying them for mixed breeds for years now. First I have to say my girl dog is an extreme chewer so I never expect chew toys to last more than a week, tops. Well, she hasn't destroyed it but my negative is that it is made of hard plastic so wherever she chews there are sharp pieces and edges - not good for her mouth. The other problem is that she has a hard time picking it up off the floor. It lays flat so she has to 'work' to even get it flipped up to chew on. Purchased this for my two pit bull puppies. They are aggressive chewers and have not found a toy yet they cannot destroy. This product held up longer than others. You need to keep a close eye because after a couple of hours of chewing, little pieces started coming off.

Reminds me of an industrial strength donut for dogs. We have a puppy who is an intense chewer. Although this looks a bit scuffed from all her chewing, it seems to be holding up thus far. Heavier than most of her other chew toys, and really makes a racket when she drops it on the hardwood flooring. She tends to seek out her other toys that are easier to destroy than this one, but can really get at it when the mood suits her with this one. This dog toy has been chewed on for about a month from two labradoodle dogs. I think it is going very well, but will need to be replaced in another month when they break through it. Not sure how to go about getting it replaced.

This is actually the second one of these we have purchased with the first being for our giant rotti-lab mix. This one we bought for our 19 lb rescue terrier puppy who is still very much in the teething stage. Appears too hard with no flex at all. Our two Boston’s don’t seem to like it. They pick it up, drop it n go to another toy that flexes some. It won’t get chewed up because they don’t want to chew or play with it. Bad choice of toy for my dogs.

My dog is the most powerful chewer I've ever met, and is particularly adept at using her back scissor teeth. This toy withstood a LOT, and she never actually broke the ring into a "c" shape.
