The design of the Zeiss strikes with quality. The optical scheme is planar - a classic of the genre. Nothing better has been invented for more than 100 years. You have to turn it with handles, which in some situations is annoying. But the bokeh of this glass is amazing, for which everything is forgiven. At one time I used a Zeiss made for Contacts, since my attempts to purchase used ones for Contacts were unsuccessful, they were all killed painfully, or the price was inadequate, I took a new one for Canon. Everything spins very smoothly. On the crop, this is an excellent portrait lens, it gives excellent plasticity with sufficient sharpness. HA is, but barely noticeable, mostly in full frame. I do not recommend taking autofocus zoom as the first full-frame staffer. And for portrait lovers, I highly recommend it, you will not regret it either in nature or in the studio. Perfectly draws faces, female portrait 5 points. What is alarming when buying is that it seems to me that too many either restored or fake glasses come to us from sunny Taiwan . I don’t know what to say, I didn’t choose anything from Hong Kong glasses. Both lenses were brought. I will not say that everything is fake for everyone, but be careful, especially since there is no guarantee for it in the 2022, only a guarantee from the seller-shop.
