Ordered this to replace our training collar of the same model because it worked so well. The beep and vibration functions work great. The percussive or actually "static" function is very gentle. It is very important to use the correct length as a shorter length will not provide proper contact and one that is too long can bruise or cut when the dog wears the collar. Choose the size based on the thickness of your dog's coat. We have a large bulldog so a medium size is perfect for her. Comfortable and safe to wear. Of course, long-haired dogs like Labradors or Huskies need longer contact points. Greyhounds and other dogs with finer coats do well in the shortest lengths. Overall, this brand offers good quality for the price. That's why I overbought after our first breakout.
